Horticultural software

SeedSort

A garden planning and tracking app built as a progressive web application.

SeedSort is a progressive web application built to support garden planning, crop tracking, and the practical reality of growing over a season.

It is the clearest in-house example of what One Acre Web can produce when product thinking, interface design, and dependable application delivery all need to work together.

The goal

Software shaped around a real goal, not a generic feature list.

The aim was to build horticultural software that solved a real planning problem rather than inventing a hypothetical one. The product started from real gardening use and needed to stay practical from the first version onward.

That meant focusing on planning, tracking, and day-to-day usefulness, not simply producing an attractive app concept.

What was built

Product depth, presented clearly enough to see what matters.

SeedSort supports planning, crop tracking, record keeping, and QR-linked growing locations so information can move with the physical space it relates to.

The product works as a progressive web app, which helps it stay usable in a real outdoor workflow rather than only in a desktop planning context.

SeedSort is not presented as a concept piece. It is a real application built to support planning and tracking in an actual growing workflow.

The product combines structured planning with day-to-day record keeping, which is exactly the kind of practical balance many custom applications need to achieve.

Delivery approach

Because SeedSort is an in-house product, the delivery has involved the full cycle: concept shaping, interface decisions, implementation, iteration, and ongoing product responsibility.

That makes it especially useful as proof. It shows not only that the software can be built, but that it can continue to improve as a real product with real users and real constraints.

What this shows

SeedSort is strong evidence of capability in horticultural software development, progressive web apps, and building products around practical workflows rather than marketing abstractions.

It also shows the level of product ownership behind One Acre Web, from idea through delivery and onward into iteration.

Built primarily with Laravel, Vue, and Inertia as a progressive web application, with the stack supporting a product designed for repeated real-world use.
