Forum software

ForumSpark

Multi-tenant forum software designed around self-serve community creation and moderation.

ForumSpark is a hosted forum software project built around the idea of making it straightforward to create and run independent community spaces from one underlying platform.

Even though the product remained unreleased, it is strong evidence of the kind of software One Acre Web can deliver when the application needs depth, administration tooling, and multi-tenant architecture.

The goal

Software shaped around a real goal, not a generic feature list.

The aim was to build modern forum software that still respected what people value in classic community products: clear structure, moderation tooling, identity, and durable discussion spaces.

It also needed to support self-serve hosted forums, which meant the product had to work both as end-user software and as an operational multi-tenant platform.

What was built

Product depth, presented clearly enough to see what matters.

ForumSpark included forum structure management, user administration, moderation tools, reactions, private chat, shoutbox features, attachments, and theme customisation.

Under the surface, the system was designed for hosted operation, with each forum treated as its own logical tenant while still fitting into one broader platform.

The visual direction deliberately nods to classic forums, but the product itself is built as a modern hosted application rather than a nostalgic skin over old patterns.

A large part of the work sat in the platform depth: moderation, structure, messaging, attachments, and all the operational surfaces needed to make forum software genuinely usable.

Delivery approach

This kind of build depends on getting both product scope and operational structure right, not only shipping visible features.

Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, and supporting infrastructure choices gave the project a practical base for both rich functionality and hosted multi-tenant delivery.

What this shows

ForumSpark is useful proof of capability in forum software development, multi-tenant application design, and the delivery of feature-rich community platforms.

It shows that One Acre Web can handle products where administration, user interaction, moderation, and technical structure all matter at the same time.

Built with Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, and AWS-oriented infrastructure choices, with the technology supporting a deeper hosted-product model rather than being the headline.
